Prayer

We believe in the power of prayer. Scripture reminds us that when we face hardships while trying to do good and stand against evil, whether it is in the inner city or in the hearts of men, "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

Therefore, the author St. Paul reminds us, "put on the full armor of God".And "pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." So THANK YOU for praying for us and this ministry. Below are a few general prayer items for Volunteer Year Toronto.

Pray:

  1. For an upward focus on all we do. This isn't about any human effort, but on what God will do through our hands and feet.
  2. For the ministries that are on the front-lines of service in and around Toronto.
  3. For an increase in knowledge and understanding among those who desire to help.
  4. For wisdom as we plan next year's placements and interview the young people considering coming to Canada.
  5. For health and safety among the volunteers.
